2011 You Made Me Tough!

2011 You Made Me Tough!

I am happy I started my blog in this year. It is with me and will be with me in all the times when I am sad, when I am angry or helpless or when my feelings are running amok. It is everything to me from my work portfolio to my online diary.

I know writing is not easy. Those writers who write books spend years in solitude and wilderness. I am not a New York Times columnist but a human being with lot of hopes, desires and dreams in my eyes.

This is my only salvation when I am bogged down with random thoughts and seems like this is the end of it. Your mind is racing with million of thoughts and all you need is some retail therapy or blog therapy.

Our life resembles a things-to-do list. We don't have time for anything and our struggle with realities are always mundane. We might not have time for introspection but at least we can appreciate small things of life which are priceless, share our life and connect with people may be just to vent out our feelings.

I have had the worst times in the beginning of this year that left me distraught and dejected. But I am happy I am over it and may be things happen for good. We can't just keep brooding over the past. 2011 made me tough, practical and cynical.

Blogging works like a digital anti-depressant for me. I mean I can rant anything and rave about anything on this earth (but I don't talk nonsense). I came across beautiful blogs with poetry, experiences and their journeys of life. It has been fun connecting with fashion and stylist bloggers.

I try to learn from other people who instigate a sense of passion and pain in me. Talking about pain, pain is inevitable. There is so much pain and suffering in the world and it is unrelenting and unsparing. There is no life without pain. It makes happiness worth it. I have read many blogs and their poignant description, people going through their worst times. I would just say endure the pain. Pain makes you tough whether it is working out in the gym or heartbreak turmoil.

What is your take on blogging? Why do you blog?

"I love life. Life is Beautiful”. There is so much to do in life. People to meet, places to travel, things to learn and explore!

Happy New Year!

See you in 2012 with more writings, my rants, contemplations and outfit posts.
My first post will be my NYE Look ;)

Look Of The Day - Merry Christmas!

I hope everyone had a great Christmas and Santa was good to all. I just wanted big chubby Santa to give me loads of unconditional love and caring people who will always stand by me in the coming year. However my list of material things is never ending. *wink* May he bestow upon us loads of love, shower blessings and fulfill our wishes!
I am sorry for not being around and connecting with my fellow bloggers. During the holiday weekend my internet was not working and seemed like life had come to a halt. I am sure most of us feel the same way. It is like my digital anti-depressant. *giggles* Anyway I ended up watching two movies, Crazy Stupid Love and My Best Friends Girl. I am a sucker for romance but both the movies were nothing out of the box.
Here is what I wore on Christmas.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Years! XOXO

It is okay to have your own opinion. It is okay to dislike and even criticize. It is okay to think others are jobless and not worth it. It is okay to be jealous of others and mock at them, grimace and continue brooding over it . But you are nobody to inflict yourself and your beliefs on others. You might harbor resentment but the problems springs up when you raise your voice publicly and when your comments will be a slur on others. Because in the process you will be hurting someone and such actions will only demean the person.
I tell you, everyone has their own beliefs and faith in something, even our own opinions and ideas change. But you cant meddle in or snoop into someone's affairs and look  down on them when nobody came up to you personally.
I would just say lead your own life in a good way. I had read these beautiful lines somewhere, “Work on self improvement so that you don’t have time for criticizing others.”
It is your choice and it is my choice. What choices I make, it defines me. I have all the love for the people who visit my blog and appreciate my efforts and my interests. I would humbly bow down. XOXO.

Everything Must Go

I watch good classy movies. I don't how easily I relate myself to the movies and get emotionally invested. There are so many movies that touch me and their impact lingers.

So, I happen to watch this movie over the weekend. I have seen Will Ferrell in movies like Melinda and Melinda by Woody Allen and Stranger Than Fiction by Marc Forster. But this movie is something different where the protagonist is going through one of his worst times.

How devastating it can be when you lose job after serving the company for 16 years and your wife abandons you because of your own deeds and outlandish behavior. Not to mention, his account has been frozen and his belongings have been dumped in the front yard by his absconding wife who changed the locks.

The story is light hearted, smooth and nothing over-the-top. The failed man is in turmoil and wounded but trying to sustain an illusion of normalcy. There is hardly any scene in which he is not binging on beer. It gets dark but he keeps it alive with a sardonic approach.

I could glean vicarious agony and distress. You will end up developing a soft corner for a man who is surely paying for his deeds but at the same time has a good and a clear heart. He ought to sell his personal belongings but it is hard to detach them. Such is life when even small moments of life that bring joy mean the world to you and how difficult it gets to let them go. But slowly he comes to terms with reality and becomes undemonstrative in life.

VERDICT
Watch this optimistic flick for a Will Ferrell's charismatic persona on the screen and the chubby black kid who happens to work with him and how they connect.

The story might not be out-of-the box and it got nothing new to offer. There are no grand soliloquies in the end but the climax of the movie gives a lot of room for speculation. It is sad but satisfying.

When you need to mellow out on your couch this movie will come to your rescue. And you will realize life moves on, come what may. We have to get through it, no matter how hard it is for us. You cant hold on to few things even if we cant move on. But we have to change ourselves as life moves on.

We all hit a low in our lives. You have got to pull yourself from rock bottom. Let the storm pass and embrace the sunshine. XOXO.

Share your views if you have already watched this movie.

November Style Icon

November has been a great month. I came across lot of interesting fashion bloggers. I have learnt a lot and worked more on my blog. Thus, my blog gobbled voracious readership along with few companies approaching me to review their products (though I did not).

There is so much to learn in life and my piquancy towards  writing and intriguing love for fashion is never ending. Blogging is a great platform for me and my blog means the world to me. I sincerely thank all my visitors, my friends and people who motivated me.

My blog has been featured by Grazia India Magazine. I would also like to thank Stylepile for awarding me 'November Style Icon’ along with my other fellow bloggers. Thanks! XOXO.

Look Of The Day - Man It Up!

My personal style is feminine and so I decide to go androgynous for a change. Sometimes you just need your man’s clothes, an oversized shirt or his jacket. I am wearing pointed heels and blue nail paint to give a touch of feminism. So I keep the accessories minimum and dress up like a ‘MAN’ to give an androgyny look.

I am wearing
Shirt from UCB
Pants from Van Heusen
Short Jacket from Kazo
Footwear from VNC
Belt from Guess
Watch from Fossil

So what do you think of my ‘MAN' look. Thumbs up or thumbs down?
